During the panel meeting, Sen. Tim Kraayenbrink emphasized that the DOGE's suggestions are not concrete and that no written legislation is currently pending. He expressed willingness to consider proposed changes that could improve the system, but noted a lack of immediate appetite among Republican lawmakers for large-scale changes. Kraayenbrink suggested that a study on proposed changes, such as the viability of a defined contribution program, could provide valuable information and help make informed decisions.
